Dilip Kumar’s younger brothers Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan have both tested positive for COVID-19 and were rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital (Bandra), late last night. Since then they have been on non-invasive ventilator support. Ehsaan is about 90 while Aslam is a few years younger than him.

A source says, “Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan complained of breathlessness. They were advised by Dr Nitin Gokhale (leading cardiologist) to get hospitalised as their oxygen levels were quite low. The two also have a history of blood pressure and heart ailment.”

Ehsaan Khan and Aslam Khan had severe property disputes with Dilip Kumar in the past and stay with each other in Bandra. Both have been admitted under Dr Jalil Parkar, under whom Sanjay Dutt was admitted last weekend. Dutt, who was accompanied by his sister Priya Dutt and a friend, underwent a series of tests which ultimately led to the diagnosis that he is suffering from lung cancer.

When contacted, Dr Jalil Parkar said, “Yes, Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan are on non-invasive ventilator support. They had hypoxia, their oxygen saturation was less than 94, both also had cough and fever.”

Meanwhile, Dilip Kumar has been telling the people via his Twitter handle to stay indoors to prevent the spread of coronavirus. A tweet by him, not long ago, read: “I appeal to all of you to protect yourself and others by staying indoors as much as possible. The #CoronavirusOutbreak transcends all boundaries and borders. Follow guidelines issued by health departments, protect yourself and others by limiting your exposure to others.”
