NEW DELHI: Mahindra two-wheelers on Thursday launched the BS6-complaint Mojo on Thursday starting at Rs 1,99,900 (ex-showroom). The current variant is Rs 4,500 expensive over the outgoing BS4 iteration.
After teasing the Mojo heavily on social media, the company took the covers off the four colour schemes based on red and black palettes.
The Black-Pearl starts at Rs 1,99,900 (ex-showroom) while the Garnet Black paint scheme comes at Rs 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ruby Red and Red Agate versions cost the highest at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom). Mojo, a touring specialist, competes with the likes of Bajaj Dominar and Royal Enfield Himalayan is terms of utility.
The quirky yet stubby design has been retained with a bold headlamp unit, single-piece seat, upswept exhaust and minimal tail.
The BS 6-compliant, 295 cc, single-cylinder motor generates 25.35 PS and 25.6 Nm, witnessing a marginal drop from 26PS/28Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Mojo tips at 186 kilos, with a segment-leading fuel tank at 21 litres.
Mahindra Mojo rides of front telescopes and a rear monoshock unit. Mojo has a seat height of 815 mm and 1,460 mm wheelbase.
