Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Research Associate (on contract) and Field Investigator (on contract) in research project entitled “Developing a Model for Effective Adoption of Solar Energy System in India”. This is a research project, funded by the IMPRESS, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.
Project Description: Energy plays an important role in any developing country. Atpresent, major portion of electrical energy is generated by thenon-renewable energy sources, which are very muchuneconomical and bad for environment. Besides, the fact thatthe Government of India and respective state governmentsare putting-up various schemes for implementation of SolarEnergy, the usages is extremely poor. The proposed empiricaland case-based research proposes to develop a model foreffective adoption of Solar Energy System in rural India with aprimary objective to transform the livelihood of rural peoplewith effective adoption of Solar Energy. In this study we willidentify and validate the Critical Success Factors for effectiveadoption of Solar Energy System which will help the policymakers in framing cost effective and easy way of adoption ofsolar energy system. Focus area of this study will be the ruralareas of northern part of India.
