National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi on behalf of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the above mentioned post purely on contractual basis.
1. Post Name: Consultant-Veterinary (Intersectoral Coordination for Prevention and Control of Zoonotic Diseases)
2. Job Description:
a. Establishment of Intersectoral coordination with department of Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Wildlife, urban Development, rural Development
b. Organize and monitor timely collation, compilation and analysis of surveillance data from the state.
c. Regular visits for monitoring the implementation of the project in coordination with the IDSP in the districts
d. Supervising monitoring and training state/districts officials and liaison with them.
e. Initiate and guide outbreak investigations promptly following the standard operating procedures.
f. Support effect operational integration of disease control enforce bases on the surveillance data.
g. Coordination regular meeting of the key extra strategic stake holders and assist in Intersectoral coordination for effective IDSP implementations.
a. A post-graduation veterinary degree from a recognized university in veterinary Public health or veterinary Epidemiology or veterinary medicine or veterinary microbiology or veterinary Livestock production Management (LPM).
b. Registration In the veterinary Council of India or veterinary Council of states
a. Fifteen Years’ experience in the veterinary public health veterinary epidemiology or animal health
b. Relevant experience in public health preferably in disease surveillance and outbreak investigations
a. Broad knowledge and understanding of disease surveillance system, epidemiology and Public Health practice
b. Excellent skill in data analysis in field epidemiology Public health setting
c. Willing to travel extensively India
6. Remuneration: Rs. 60,000/- per month (consolidated). TA/DA on official tour shall be provided as per extant Government norms.
