STUTTGART: Porsche, the German luxury sportscar manufacturer has announced that it will reveal the new Panamera on August 26.
Porsche has proven the performance potential of the new Panamera even before the car’s world premiere.
The upcoming model in a slightly camouflaged series production car, was tested by test driver Lars Kern, who, completed a full lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife over a distance of 20.8 kilometres in 7.29 minutes.
Reports suggest that the Turbo model gets a 4.0-litre V8 engine that belts out a maximum power of 535 bhp with a peak torque of 770 Nm.
The new model, reportedly christened Porsche Panamera Turbo S, will also get the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 but it may be tuned to generate a maximum power of 625 bhp with 832 Nm of peak torque.
